Collagen Induction Therapy

For beautiful plump skin, a reduction of fine lines and scarring.

An increase of autologous collagen of 140-200% in our fractional dermal micro skin needling system can:

    • Tighten, lift, and rejuvenate skin
    • Reduce scarring
    • Reduce wrinkles, and fine lines
    • Improve the appearance of stretch marks
    • Decrease pore size

The MDerma uses sterile sealed individual disposable needles & cartridges for optimal safety. Vertical penetration creates micro skin channels that carry up to 80% more topical nutrients allowing deep penetration & cellular regeneration. Surprisingly, the treatment is similar to laser treatments except, minus the severe side effects or long recovery. Unlike laser, our Mderma does not cause cell explosion from light converted to heat. MDerma is so advanced it is suitable for use in sensitive areas. Such as; around the upper & lower eyelid, nose, and lips

How many treatments

• Skin Rejuvenation: 4 – 6 treatments
• Acne Scars: 6 treatments+

Autologous collagen lasts up to 24 months, whereas exogenous dermal fillers only last up to 12 months. Topical anaesthetic is applied for 30 minutes before treatment.

Recovery – redness may last 24 hr+ similar to mild sunburn.

There are contraindications for this treatment such as pregnancy, keloid scarring, Warfarin and Roaccutane. Speak with Dr. Amena before booking if you have not had CIT.

Cellulite Cupping

Cellulite occurs in most of the general population and effects women predominantly. The term 1st appeared in the 1920s; cellulite occurs when underlying connective tissue weakens, and fat deposits push through. In other words, connective tissue can be weakened by hormones, lack of exercise and poor muscle tone.

The application of glass fire cups to the area creates a vacuum, which picks up the tissue and blood and is manually drawn towards the
lymph vessels. This, along with exercise and appropriate diet can change the appearance of lumpy tissue. Additional with the treatment, you will be given helpful dietary advice and a take-home tool to help maintain the effects of the treatment.

Protocol

Cosmetic Acupuncture is the perfect fusion of East meets west. The health benefits of Acupuncture and the micro trauma created by needles the width of a human hair, makes it the perfect choice for an anti-aging treatment.

The acupuncture points on the face utilised for this treatment are primarily stomach points. Hence, treating the digestive system is imperative. As a fully functional digestive system provides optimal nutrients to feed our skin.

The health benefits of improving our digestion are unlimited. After a course of cosmetic acupuncture; patients quite often comment on
improved sleep, better response to stressors, less headaches and teeth grinding and a reduction to sinus symptoms. Furthermore, improvement to;
• Scarring
• Fine lines
• Redness
• Uneven skin tone & appearance
• Increase of autologous collagen
Autologous collagen is created through micro trauma; as the
fibroblasts deposit collagen, elastin, and reticular fibers. As a result, this
triggers production of more organized collagen for better contours.

This is all done without any down time; you will leave with a pink glow. It is a low risk procedure and it is possible to have some mild bruising, however, not all patients do.

For best results we recommend the full anti-aging protocol of 10 treatments over 5 weeks. Although, this can be changed to suit individual needs.

Make up is removed prior to treatment. More importantly, things to avoid prior to treatment are heavy exercise sessions, aspirin, hot baths, and saunas.

The procedure is finished off with a jade roller and a hydrating mask.

SCAR REVISION

Improvement in movement and appearance of scar tissue can be
improved by acupuncture or skin needling, otherwise known as CIT (collagen induction therapy) or microneedling. The type of scar, history, and appearance of the scar determines what it will respond to best.

Scars have little collagen and the traumatized tissue is built from uneven cross-hatched fibers. Therefore, the new tissue needs to involve the production of more organized collagen fibers.

Each scar is individual and needs to be sighted for cost and length of treatment and outcome.
